What is PTA?

McConnell PTA is a volunteer organization made up of parents (that's right- moms and dads), teachers and community members who wants to make a difference in our children's school experience. All parents are welcomed and appreciated...and you know what, we can never have enough volunteers. Volunteering affords you the opportunity to meet other parents, your child's friends and make a positive contribution to your community.

How are we funded?

Contributions and membership fees made by our parents, teachers and administrators accounts for a small portion of our funding; however,  the majority is raised from fundraisers held throughout the school year. Therefore, our vitality depends greatly on our families and community.

Goals for 2012-2013...

  • Establish and welcome a broader base of parent volunteers to better represent our student body
  • Build partnerships with our community neighbors
  • Provide engaging events, informational programs and educational  workshops
  • Boost fundraising results that assist our teachers and students with technology, programs, resources and supplies.
